Crazy rock act's television series on home video.

The biggest rock act in the history of the world is coming to DVD! Of course, we're talking about the Monkees. Sure, they weren't the Beatles or anything but the Monkees still held a prominent role in world pop culture during the mid-1960s, as a televised rock and roll act that captivated millions on the coattails of the Fab Four. The Beatles invaded the big screen on many occasions with the likes of A Hard Day's Night and Help!, but the Monkees managed to invade pop culture in the living room of teenage girls the world over.
Eagle Rock Entertainment recognizes the Monkees and their rabid fan base, offering up both the Season One and Season Two box sets on DVD. Season One will encompass all 32 episodes of the first season across six discs, while Season Two will bolster all 26 episodes of the second season over five discs. Both of the releases will launch later this month on September 27, 2011 for the MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) of $39.98 each. Supplemental materials include bonus commentary, trivia and discography.
